- Coal dust exposure is possible at stations and on the train. If you have a lung condition that could be aggravated by this, caution is advised.
- Children aged under 16 years must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
- Children aged under 2 years can travel for free if they don't need their own seat. However, if you want to ensure a seat for your child who is under 2, you should book a ticket at the child fare rate.
- For VIP Booth Experience bookings of 3 or fewer guests, you may be seated together with other VIP Experience guests.

- Based on the train's direction, passengers may face backward for one-half of the total journey.
- Steam engine operation is dependent on weather, total fire ban, volunteer availability, and other factors beyond control. The scheduled engine may be changed due to operational requirements.
- The Sunday Service arrives back at Gympie Station at 1:30 PM, 30 minutes later than the Wednesday and Saturday services. This schedule includes a stop at Dagun Station, where you can enjoy outdoor games and optional wine and cheese tasting (available for purchase on-site).
